Rediscover your innate rhythmic self with the Whole Person Rhythm Process! When you join the rhythm circle, you are gently guided into using your body as the first instrument that “plays” with 3 different rhythmic layers:  stepping, clapping or playing drums, and vocalization/chanting. Each person develops a deep understanding of rhythm in his or her own timing. As you relax into learning at your own pace, the group can create space for deeper intuitive understanding, self-discovery, and quiet calm.

Instead of relying only on the thinking mind to drive us toward a goal, groove gives us an opportunity to be carried, our voices let us connect, and the pervasive and flexible rhythm helps us stay present and open to a larger awareness.

While musical training is not needed for these journeys, curiosity is a welcome ally!

This dynamic and meditative work was created by Zorina Wolf  Advanced TaKeTiNa Teacher,  a former student of Babatunde Olatunji

Each week will focus on a different aspect of rhythm: beat, offbeat, simple and complex cycles.  Prepare to groove. Prepare to enter into rhythm with your whole being.
