Soul Motion Leadership Program
2013/2014 program will be in residence with the Madrona MindBody Institute.
Soul Motion Leadership Training Program: As your practice deepens you may feel ready to cultivate and deliver the Soul Motion message of dance artistry, everyday presence, and service in your community. To those who wish to deepen the work of Soul Motion in their life, in their body, and in their daily spiritual practice, we offer opportunities to study in depth with Vinn and his support system during three intensive residential modules over the course of a year. There are currently two leadership trainings scheduled:
The 2013/14 Soul Motion™ Leadership Training - United States Program is a comprehensive learning course. In addition to the three residential modules that constitute the training part of the curriculum, the program requires extensive study and practice of Soul Motion in classes and workshops, community service, and a teaching practicum (for those desiring to become certified teachers of the work), and also includes evaluation and mentoring.
The dates of the 2013–2014 residential modules are:
❤ May 2–9, 2013 (seven nights)
❤ September 20–27, 2013 (seven nights)
❤ March 22–April 1, 2014 (ten nights)
All three modules require full participation. Residential Program is at Madrona MindBody Institute.
Deadline for application is October 15, 2012.
Notification of acceptance will be made by November 15, 2012.
Because Soul Motion is both a philosophy of living in the everyday dance and a specific dance practice for the conscious dancer, our Leadership Training includes two tracks:
Soul Motion: Personal and Professional Development Track
This course of study is for those who wish to dive deep for the purpose of their own personal development. The dedicated time and discipline put into this program will enable individuals to use the Soul Motion philosophy and practice in their personal growth as well as enhance the quality of their leadership in any field they are engaged in: education, business, health care, other conscious movement modalities, or counseling arts (to name but a few). The main requirement is completing all three residential modules of the Leadership Program along with additional assignments given during the modules. Successful completion of the course will provide a Certificate of Participation in the Soul Motion™ Personal and Professional Development Program. Course graduates teaching other modalities may use the phrase “inspired by Vinn Martì’s Soul Motion™” in class
descriptions and state in their bio that they attended or participated in (rather than completed) the Soul Motion™ Leadership Program. Main requirement is completing all three residential modules of the Leadership Training.
Soul Motion: Teacher Certification
This course of study is for those who wish to pursue certification as Soul Motion teachers. Members of this group will teach classes in their community as well as be a part of an active mentoring and evaluation program with Vinn and Zuza. Additional details will be provided during the program. Those who successfully complete this track (see the Evaluation
section on page 4 for specifics) will receive the Soul Motion™ Teacher Certification, allowing them to use the trademark of Soul Motion in the title of their classes, workshops and professional offerings.

If you are interested in pursuing this leadership path, this would be a good time to intensify your own practice and seek to gain the required credits. Madrona offers two workshops ~ Soul Motion: The Practice (with Master Teacher Zuza Engler and Assisting Faculty Member Michael Molin-Skelton) May 26- June 2, 2012. The Practice IS a pre-requisite for the Leadership Program. In Fall of 2012 creator Vinn Marti provides a 4-day workshop at Madrona ~ Soul Motion: The Landscapes to Mastery - October 18-21, 2012.

SOUL MOTION LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FACULTY:
Vinn Martì and Zuza Engler will co-lead this program with the assistance of Michael Molin-Skelton. In addition, visiting faculty will include Candace Verlee Scheidegger and Lavinia Magliocco.
Candace Verlee Scheidegger will facilitate for the group a two-day session of Solsara.
Solsara means shining light on reality. During time focused on this practice, participants
will gain skills in seeing self and others more clearly, communicating directly and honestly
with compassion, and embracing transparency as leaders of Soul Motion. Candace has
counseled clients in self discovery for over fifteen years and has taught courses in the
practice of authenticity and expanding consciousness for the past ten years. Her website is

Lavinia Magliocco offers in depth and experiential anatomy in motion, called TerpsiCoreAnatomy,
Terpsichore being the Muse of Dance. Participants learn skeletal, muscular, and energetic
anatomy in ways that enhance their own dance experience as well as their students'. Lavinia has
been dancing since age 6, and teaching dancers for 33 years. Her fully equipped Pilates studio,
her playground and laboratory in Portland, OR., is called Equipoise–Enlightened Exercise. Her
