Zipper Dance is partner dancing through co-leadership. It is a dynamic method of social dance that can be used with any music.  Zipper Dance provides an alternative to the traditional social dance roles of “lead” and “follow.”  There are no complicated steps or choreographed sequences to memorize.  No pressure to be the leader or follower.  The technique brings two neutral sides together into one balanced entity.

Dancers learn new ways to listen, trust, and communicate as they effortlessly create movement with a partner to all kinds rhythms including swing, latin, waltz, tango, and blues.  Developing your skills of connection, creative improvisation, and play will reach beyond the dance floor into every area of your life. The Zipper Dance method is great for all ages and levels of experience; no partner is necessary to come to a workshop or jam.  Please bring dance slippers, socks, or clean slippery soled shoes.
