MADRONA MINDBODY INSTITUTE, in partnership with Fort Worden State Park, is a gathering place for creative movers and thinkers from around the world, students of all ages and backgrounds, and audiences seeking conscious enrichment. Madrona promotes creative expression, creative relations and experiences that change lives...a sanctuary for conscious living and dance.

Located in Port Townsend, Washington, Fort Worden—a turn-of-the-century army base—offers an unmatched combination of natural beauty and historic interest. 434 acres of saltwater beaches, wooded hills, and open fields are framed by stunning vistas of the Olympic and Cascade ranges and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It’s a place where the land stops, the sea begins, and the mind keeps going.

Food: Meals are a great time to socialize with the other movers in your workshop and to add words to the conversation of movement. Our meals are gluten and dairy free, created by our on-campus caterer, Bon Appétit. Bon Appetit proudly sources much of its food from local and organic farms. Our meals are abundant with fresh vegetables and greens, meat is local grassfed beef or pasture raised chicken. You choose whether you want to restrict your diet to vegan, vegetarian, vegetarian plus fish, or omnivore. Every meal is catered so we need to know ahead of time what your preferences are.

Accommodations: Madrona has simple and affordable accommodations. Rooms are for the solo traveler, with limited options of two per room. If you are traveling with a group of 4 or more—we can help you reserve a full house on campus—please inform reservation staff well in advance of the workshop and they can help you.
