Come awaken the power of manifestation through the sacred despacho ceremony from the shamans of the Peruvian Andes. Infuse the power of your intentions into your daily life through transformative movement and expressive arts. We gather on this magical afternoon to focus our intentions. We do so through a shamanic despacho ceremony, an Andean prayer offering assembled into a beautiful mandala. Our ceremony is made more meaningful through drawing, meditative movement and journeying, transforming whatever may be in the way of living our dreams. (see below for more details).

We begin by creating a ceremonial despacho, a powerful Andean prayer offering we assemble with flower petals, sweets, and other symbolic contributions into a beautiful mandala. As we make each offering, we blow into our intentions, our gratitude or something we wish to release. The mandala grows with each offering, encircling our group with the energy of transformation and bringing each one of us into balance with our deepest intentions.

As we create the mandala, feelings, images, or beliefs that lie in the way of our intentions are invited up into movement, meditation, drawing and shamanic journeying, and we allow them to transform into an energetic state that expresses our becoming. We weave our intentions into the love, beauty, joy, abundance, and oneness of life. As we bring our time together to a close, we carry a sense of balance and harmony back into our community and the world.

The despacho brings the energies of manifestation into full realization by blending a deeply personal inner experience with the power of communal intention, and weaving gratitude for all that is with a dreaming into what wants to be!

Ashera is a creative, spirited teacher and healing practitioner integrating Yoga, Ayurveda, Dance, Energy Medicine and Shamanic Healing. As a full mesa carrier, she has been initiated as a teacher and healer by the “wisdom keeper” shamans in the high mountains of Peru and trained as an Energy Healing Practitioner with The Healing the Light Body School. She draws wisdom from 18 years of study and extensive experience leading classes, retreats, and trainings. She believes it is in connecting to our deep soul energy and life journey that our original balance and peaceful true nature return to us.

Despacho is a traditional Peruvian ceremony of giving back to Mother Earth (Pachamama) and other organizing principles of the Universe. Shared with us by the Q’ero who are the direct descendants of the Inca, who, 500 years ago, fled to the safety of the sacred mountains to escape the Spanish Conquistadors. They made their villages in the clouds at 14,000 ft.  The Inca Master Shamans were considered the "Wisdom Keepers".
Throughout the generations, their oral tradition preserved the ancient healing methods, rituals and the prophecies for the future of human beings and the planet. This knowledge has remained uncontaminated for thousands of years. The Q'ero understood that there would be a time when the world needed to remember the ancient wisdom.  They have offered us their ceremonies as a profound and meaningful way to shed our limitations and bring ourselves back into balance.
