ALL class cards and memberships are good for ANY regular class offered at MMI (except Peninsula College classes.)
Tribal Fusion Belly Dance
With Stormy
Students taking the beginning class will learn correct dance posture, core strength, flexibility and the basics of belly dance. Each session will follow a general curriculum and students will learn a simple choreography. Students taking the intermediate class will focus on flexibility, muscle isolations and layering movements. Each session will follow a curriculum and students will learn a challenging choreography. Fits of spontaneous dance are strongly encouraged.
SoulFull Series: The Practice - 5 weeks

Learn the concepts and deepen in your practice of Soul Motion™ - inspired movement. Explore the intimate, communion, community and infinite landscapes of your dance. Connection * Rhythm * Movement
Starts May 7th -June 4th. Five weeks
Wednesdays, 7:15-8:45 p.m.
The five week series costs for $60. Class card can be used - but will be credited against all five classes.
All-abilities and fitness levels invited to this class!
Pre-registration only. Open to everyone as a closed series class. This is intended to allow each individual and the class as a whole commit and broaden their in trust of self, other, and the offering of awareness into the intimate space.

Cultivating connection through rhythm, movement and community. SoulFull Sundays invites you to find your own style of creative movement that deepens and enriches your experience of self, community and SOUL. EmBODY curiosity and joy--growth and celebration--spirit and mind. The music is diverse--the movement practice is open to everyone's individual wisdom and expression... falling in love and respect for life and all its' unpredictability. Come move your divinity with Madrona MindBody's Sunday community. First Sunday of each month following class, dancers and friends are invited to the Fort Worden Commons for a delicious all you can eat brunch!
Beginning Moving Meditation - A FREE Class for the Community

Find yourself centered before you begin your day with this contemplative practice that includes a walk in the natural beauty of Fort Worden. This FREE class is an introduction to Moving Meditation (above) with the extra spice of taking the meditative mind outdoors to explore Fort Worden State Park with a walk to the lighthouse. All abilities welcome. A bell will start the class with a seated or lying down meditation (chair is encouraged if needed), followed by a 15 to 20 min. gentle stretch to music and the final bell will encourage you to take your contemplative practice outdoors to refresh the lungs and body with nature.
Moving Meditation

As our own life presents opportunities for growth, celebration and forgiveness our internal master holds space for stillness and acceptance. Moving Meditation celebrates that interior landscape – a place where you can sharpen and explore your own pause practice. Move and flow to soft rhythm while holding your own wisdom. This practice questions… How do I engage that vital spark of SOUL, listen with gentle courage and gratitude, and share it in an authentic voice with the world? One answer: Take a step and give it expression through movement.
